Liam Magee Memorial U10 Hurling Tournament
The club hosted the Liam Magee Memorial U10 Tournament at the weekend and once again it was a fantastic day. All clubs who took part expressed their enjoyment in taking part, the way it was run and the way everyone was catered for when all the hurling was by.
A big thank-you to those who helped set out the pitches, to Eamon Downey our piper who really added a sense of occasion, our young whistlers who did a fantastic job, our coordinators and all the parents who provided food and helped serve on the day (I’ve probably forgot to mention somebody but you know who you are)
Finally congratulations to the winning teams. Loughgiel who won the Liam Magee Memorial Cup beating a strong Cushendall team in the final and to Glenariffe who won the Dunloy Centenary Cup (B section competition) who defeated Loughgiel.
A message from Ossians Glenariff:
Just an email to thank you and Dunloy Cuchullians for a super day out on Saturday. Our lads have a great time and will live long in their memory. The organisation was 1st class and the march between the piper was a great touch, I only ever got to experience that once in a Senior Feis Final myself so I have made sure our boys know how lucky they have been! Thanks for the invitation, it was very much appreciated and hopefully Glenariffe can return the favour some day.
Please pass on mine and Glenariffe thanks and congratulations to all involved.
