Feile heartbreak for Dunloy

Ballycastle 2-00 Dunloy 0-05

Dunloy’s young girls suffered a heartbreaking County final defeat to Ballycastle as they just fell short in completing a 3-in-row of titles.

It was a county final that both sets of supporters were on edge for the whole game as it ebbed and flowed both ways for the entirety of the game.

Ballycastle scored 2 goals in the first half and it was that which got them over the line as they defended for their lives right to the death.

It was a weekend that saw the girls pick up wins in the group against Rossa, St. Enda’s and Cargin to qualify them for the semi final against Loughgiel. The girls saw off the Shamrocks 3-03 to 0-01 in the semi final to guide them to the final.

A wonderful weekendl that has highlighted yet again the great work being done at under age level within the club in terms of player development.
