Div 2B Football Dunloy 2-15 Glenravel 2-11

Dunloy maintained their current unbeaten run with a vital home win over Glenravel. At a stage in the season where points are a must in order to survive the drop Dunloy again stood up when needed to take their 3 win on the trot.

Missing quite a number of regular players due to holidays manager Dominic Dillion used his squad to full effect to show the strength in depth that exists in the club.

A strong first 30mins seen Dunloy leading 0-11 to 1-04 going into the break.

Glenravel hit back with a second goal to reduce the gap and the put the pressure back on the home side but goals from Declan McGarry and Paudie Conlon ensured that Dunloy would take the all-important points.

A good performance from Dunloy all around from start to finish. Chris Kearns starting his first game of the season along with midfielder Eoin Gillan had impressive games, neither looked out of place and were at the forefront of everything. Up front Stephen McAlone continued his scoring form ably supported by Declan McGarry who managed 1-05. Nigel Elliott also making his second start of the year due to injuries and County hurling duty impressed with his intelligent running off the ball and support play.

Man of the match however goes to Benny ‘The Dip’ McGarry starting his first game of the year leaving his coaching role to the side for the night showing that he is still one of the best about.

Next up is the last home league game of the season against Randalstown.
